Products utilizing 2K technology combine two different plastic materials to exploit the best properties of both. This can be for the purpose of aesthetics – two colors – or functionality, like combining hard plastic with soft TPE for sealing. This technology enables the production of composite components in one step, eliminating the need for additional assembly, thereby reducing production time and simultaneously enhancing the quality of the final product. Each 2K injection molding project is customized for optimal performance, using rotary tables, index plates, or robotic transfer.
